IELTS is the International English Language Testing System held to assess candidates’ language efficiency who need to work or study in any countries where English is the main communicative language. IELTS has 04 skills and are marked from 0 to 9. When doing the file for studying in countries such as Australia, America, Canada, New Zealand … you can use IELTS certificate to apply for abroad - study visa.

Meanwhile, IELTS UKVI is the International English Testing Exam which is for those who apply for visas and fixed residence in England. IELTS UKVI has 04 skills and are marked from 0 to 9. If you would like to study in England, you are required to have IELTS UKVI.
Therefore, what is the difference between IELTS and IELTS UKVI? What advantages does IELTS UKVI certificate have? Why must you have IELTS UKVI when studying in England? How many kinds does IELTS UKVI have?
1. The difference between IELTS and IELTS UKVI:
    On the whole, IELTS UKVI test is done as IELTS (IELTS Academic and General Training). It means that it has 04 skills, the same content, format, hard level, way of grade marking, … However, they have a little diffecence you need to pay attention:
   • IELTS UKVI Academic can be done on paper or computer, while IELTS UKVI General training is only done on paper. Meanwhile, IELTS can be done on both of paper and computer.
   • IELTS UKVI is supervised by a camera with the progress of checking close and strict security.  
  • ELTS UKVI exams are held, supervised and managed by IELTS organization including British Council, IDP organization (IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment) and can be only carried out at Center which are authorized by abiding by the processes that are regulated by England government.
  • Different exam expenses: For the difference of value in use and testing form, IELTS UKVI’s exam expense is higher than IELTS’s. The exam expense of IELTS UKVI Academic & General Training is 6,600,000 VNĐ. The exam expense of  IELTS is 4,750,000 VNĐ.
  • The Test Report Form of IELTS UKVI has more other contents which IELTS doesn’t have. That is UKVI Number and CEFR level.
2. The advantage of IELTS UKVI:
  • Due to the supervision of  a camera with the progress of checking close and strict security, the IELTS UKVI  result is exact and absolutely believed by educational organizations and recruitment companies.
  • You can hand in your IELTS UKVI certificate for England and other countries. However, you can’t hand in IELTS certificate for England. You only hand in this for other countries such as Australia, American, Canada, New Zealand,
3. Why must you have IELTS UKVI when studying in England?:
 • This is the regulation of England government and IELTS UKVI  certicaficate is accepted by UK Visas and Immigration – UKVI. Also, due to some new regulations are applied in IELTS exam, so IELTS UKVI has appeared with 04 skills and IELTS Life Skills with 02 skills of Listening and Speaking.
4. How many kinds does IELTS UKVI have?:
    IELTS UKVI is divided into 03 kinds:
   • IELTS UKVI Academic: This is for those who would like to learn at university or postgraduate and apply for a job in England. The exam has 04 skills.  
   • IELTS UKVI General Training: This is for those who would like to immigrate into England or be trained, studied at high school, pre – university or English. The exam has 04 skills.  
   • IELTS Life skills: It includes A1 and B1 level according to CEFR which is for those who would like to demonstrate his listening and speaking ability to be founded for applying for visa and fixed residence.
