Many English learners always have a very negative view of their English skills. For example, they think “my English is full of mistakes, I am afraid to speak because other people might not understand me, I have been studying English for years but my English is still bad”, … If you have such a negative view, you will never practice listening to and speaking communicative English daily. On the contrary, you should think “my English is better than I imagine and I will try my best to reach fluency”. This is very important! Also, you must have a clear plan and fix how long you can communicate in English well and carry it out firrmly, forcibly and decisively.

 

Remember that you must have “capital” before doing anything. You cannot communicate in English fluently everyday without good standard pronunciation, vocabularies or grammar because they are “capital” you must have to process for 04 skills, especially listening and speaking skills.

 

 

 

If you observe you will see that baby “Listen” first then they imitate “Speaking” by repeating and the idea is formed in their mind with the action and they understand what it is. You should do like this! It means that you practise listening to the easy and simple sentences and repeat them many times and then with more difficult sentences you do the same way. Doing this your pronunciation will be better, your vocabularies and grammar will be increased and idea – forming progress will appear in your mind and you begin understanding them and reflection also appears and goes up gradually.  Then, you keep on listeing to conversations and repeat them firrmly until it is proficient. It is sure that, with this way, you will communicate in English well within a short time.
 
Never Compare Your English Skills To Others’!

A lot of English learners compare themselves to native English speakers or other learners who have reached fluency. This is not fair!. Native English speakers have had over 20 years of being immersed in English and practised 24 hours a day by watching TV, reading books, conversing English everyday. If you have a chance to do this for a long time, you will listen to and speak English fluently like native English speakers. So, comparing yourself to native English speakers does not make sense. Each person is different. Some people naturally learn faster, others naturally learn more slowly. Some people have invested more time in studying, others have studied “on and off”. Some learners had had excellent teachers, others have got problem in finding good teachers or methods, … So, don’t’ compare your English skills to anyone else’s! Just focus on your individual progress and you slowly converse English fluently.
