A. What is B2 (FCE - First Certificate in English) exam?:
    B2 (FCE - First Certificate in English) is an intermediate - advanced English Exam belonging to CEFR that tests learner’s English proficiency in many professions and other fields such as business, medicine, technical – science, secretary, management, tourism, … and learner is also in charge of answering daily letters, communicating with others on the phone, learning non-academic courses, understanding simple textbooks and articles.
B. What papers does B2 (FCE) include?: There are 05 papers.
     I. Reading: 1 hour, 03 parts, 30 questions
       • Candidates are required to read the extracts from books, literature magazines, novels, or articles by summarizing main ideas or details and their sentence structures.
     II. Writing: 1 hour and 20 minutes, 02 parts, 02 questions.
       • Candidates are required to write a letter, an article, a report, … The composition consists of 120 – 180 words with different topics and reader.
     III. Use of English: 45 minutes, 04 parts, 42 questions
     • Candidates are required to demonstrate their Engish Language by completing different exercises on sentence or paragraph writing, filling the blanks, word – order or word – phrase transformation, and error recognition.
     IV. Listening: 40 minutes, 04 parts, 30 questions.
    • This paper assesses candidate’s Listening Skill via communicative situations. The listening topics consist of many fields such as interview, discussion, explanation and conversations.
     V. Speaking:  14 minutes, 04 parts.
     • This paper assesses candidate’s English communication in different contexts. It consists of 04 parts: interview, self – presentation, collaborative exercises and discussion. The candidates are given support materials such as pictures, drawing and they usually work in pair.

Results:
Each paper represents 20% of total marks. There are 03 levels for pass: A, B and C. The candidate who gets A, B and C mark scheme will be awarded this certificate. The candidate who gets D and E mark scheme will not be awarded this certificate and it is valid for everlasting.
